Datacom is Mongolian First Internet Company Datacom
LLC the ccTLD .MN Registry is established in 1994 and
is the premier and leading Information Technology Company
in Mongolia being the pioneer ISP in the country. Datacom
established following network technologies first time
in Mongolia : E-mail network, X.25 network, Wireless network,
VSAT - Satellite connection, Internet

Achievements in chronological order
- January 17, 1996, opens its very first Internet
service center, which enabled
Mongolians to have an access to Internet 24/7.
Since 1994 there were 500 customers
who had limited access to Internet getting connected
to the email only twice a day for
exchanging the preliminary package of mails.
- 1996, ccTLD .MN domain name registration service
- March 1996, launched MongoliaONLIAe portal site
www.mol.mn which is being
regarded as the first ever Mongolian web site.
- August 1998, Datacom established its first subsidiary
company Datanet LLC.
The company was specialized in renting WAN, MAN
and LAN as well as Internet and
other types of high-speed and efficient network
services, along with setting up
connections, providing network security and privacy
services, creating virtual
network among organizations, and giving technical
assistance, etc.
- December 1998, Mongolians celebrated 2nd anniversary
of Mongolian Internet.
At that time, Datacom had approximately 1500 subscribers
and was introducing a
number of technologies such as ZacNet Satellite
connection, X.25 network, Datafax
Internet fax technology, Direc PC, etc simultaneously.
- October 1 of 1999, MagicNet (Mongolian Access to
Global Information &
Communication network) service center opens its
doors to the public becoming the
first Internet Service Providing center in Mongolia.
- June 2001, introduces NetPhone IP phone service.
- July 2002, initiated business e-mail server service,
which has a reliable protection
against harmful viruses and spams.
- 2003, consolidated subsidiary companies Datanet
and Magicnet establishes
Mongolian first ISP Company MacigNet LLC officially
announcing to run its activities
independently.
- In June 1 of 2004, Datacom jointly with National
Information Technology Park opened
WWW Express web saloon.
- June 2006, signed agreement with Netpia.com, Inc.
to provide Native Language
Internet Addressing service in Mongolia.
