| Since 1999, Netpia has introduced the NLIN
services in several international conferences, where Internet Name
resources are administered, such as the APAN, WIPO, ICANN and IETF.
It had been the spotlight at the World Summit on the Information Society
(WSIS) hosted by the United Nations in 2003. To date, the NLIN had
been tested in 95 languages. The NLIN service is currently being provided
in Japan, Turkey, Thailand, Bulgaria, Malaysia, Yanbian (Korean autonomous
zone in Jilin Province in China), and in the US, where the use of
names as Internet Name has been well-patronized. In addition,
commercial services are underway for China, Greece, and Egypt. Furthermore,
Dr. Kangsik Cheon of Netpia has been appointed as a member of the
WGIG (Working Group on Internet Governance) representing Korea to
boost the standardization of NLIN. Rest assured that Netpia will explore
all avenues to make the NLIN a standard across the world. |
