Don't we all have an idea of the kind of Internet that we want?
What I really want is an Internet that is easy to browse in any
language throughout the world. Unless this is realized, then true
global e-commerce will only be a fantasy.
Simply spelling out your e-mail address takes so much time if
it's in a confusing foreign language. But an e-mail address in
your native language will surely enhance communication processes.
This also applies when we share and type Internet addresses --
the simpler, the better!
In 1999, Netpia successfully launched solutions that made it
possible for users to type an e-mail or an Internet address in
the native language. These solutions were first tested in Korea,
and the result was a dramatic increase in Internet access and
web traffic! I believe that the same amazing result can be --
and should be -- achieved anywhere else in the world. We at Netpia
simply want each Internet user in every country to be able to
use the Internet in the most convenient way possible, because
this is the best definitive way to bridge the digital divide.
We have already finished testing our solutions in 95 countries.
It means several nations across the world are about to experience
the Internet in a whole new different and more convenient way.
This development will surely empower each nation, such that new
companies and new industries will emerge, and global e-commerce
will be even more dynamic and exciting! Now, that's what we all
want -- a technology that is so efficient, it creates an endless
stream of possibilities for the world.
Through our solutions, which we call the Native Language Internet
Address (NLIA) and the Native Language E-mail Address (NLEA),
we'd like to be of constant service to the global multilingual
community by helping everyone in the world get the kind of Internet
that they want.
